The structures, close to the government of the republic, appropriate the remained pieces of the state ownership – the transport companies, which were not sold by Auction. The head of the “Tatflot” shipping company has been Andrei Kazankov, promoted by ministry and TAIF, already several years. And now the public company “Tatarstan” airlines” is placed under control of the holding company “Nur-1”, which is closely connected to the prime minister Rustam Minnekhanov.
According to the decree of the Tatarstan’s government, the holding company gets 100 percent of the airline’s stocks, which are currently state owned. The handing over of state ownership began with the reshuffle of the committee of directors of the airline: the membership now comprises two representatives of the state and seven representatives of the holding company. The chairman of the board of directors was also replaced – the general director of “Nur-1” Mannaf Sagdiyev took the place of the transport and road-service minister of Tatarstan Vladimir Shvetsov. So it remained only to subscribe to the contract between the Land and Material relationships Ministry and the new chairman of the board of directors.
Yet to follow the letter of the law, the ministry has to announce a competition for the management companies. The one, who wins it, would get “Tatarstan” airline for asset management with the further right for buying it out. The ministry will announce it. There is no doubt, who will be the winner.
Mannaf Sagdeyev himself makes no secret of the fact that his holding company will become the owner of the Tatarstans’ aircraft with all of its 25 planes. “After we get the asset management we are going to buy it out – He told to the “Kommersant” newspaper. “There is no question of reselling the airline – we will include it into our group and will develop it as a separate aviation business”.
On a waiting list of “Nur-1” is the runway of the international airport “Kazan”. They say that the federal authorities are negotiating with the republic’s government about handing it over to Tatarstan.
